Welcome to Beth's Obsessions. My site about Jesus, and traveling through life according to the examples set forth in the bible. God loves you. God sent His Son to die for you. If you don't know Him hopefully this site will help you understand what salvation is a little bit better.

Many people will give you a list of things that must be done before you are worthy for salvation.  This is a LIE. None of us are worthy of salvation. What this means is we have all fallen short of God's glory - EVERY one of us. This is awesome for one very important reason, the playing field is completely level.  No one can earn their way to salvation. Please do not misunderstand what this means, sin is horrible and the punishment is death. We are ALL guilty of sin, as stated in Romans 3:23 "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

However, God is no respector of person. He looks on everyone with overwhelming love, regardless of our sin. He wants no one to suffer an eternity apart from Him. We are all the same when God seeks us out, wretched and miserable with sin. No one can compare themselves to you to make themselves look better. The only way to be saved is to accept God's salvation through His Son Jesus, who died and was resurrected for us all.

It is Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection three days later that is the redeeming force in salvation. If you are ready, come to Jesus as you are. Accept His as the Lord and Saviour of all. He will accept you into open arms.

Most of the site is to help us all better understand what salvation truly is. The blog section however is to try to teach seasoned christians that tradition is not salvation, nor does it line up with scripture most times. Do not be deterred by what is written there. It may be something that livens up your day.

I've had this website for years, but just haven't been able to figure out where I wanted to take it.  I'd forgotten the most important thing of all when dedicating something to the Lord. To invite Him along for the journey.  Being this a website about and for Him, there is a certainty He wants to give some input.

In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success. Proverbs 3:6

Hopefully, from this point on, He will be included in the design and direction of this site.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:33
